One great thing I’ve seen in some pharmacies is a drive-through window. When I’m sick, I don’t want to go out in public, so that would be a big plus. Thanks for the article!

I appreciate your advice to look for a pharmacy that has a private area where you can talk with the pharmacist. This is an option that I wasn’t aware that I even had, so I’ll definitely keep an eye out for that!

Make sure you use the date stickers to keep you on track! Call your pharmacist or health care provider with any questions about your particular product and schedule.

Birth control pills can be started anytime. Just be sure to use another method of birth control like condoms for the first seven days. It’s important to take the pill at the same time and take it every day for it to work.

Hi Kat, Great question! There is a tiny bit of wiggle room so your birth control should be just as effective if you were just 90 minutes late on a dose. Keep up the consistent schedule!

I haven’t missed any pills so far at all and have taken them all at the same time every day. However I had sex with my partner on Saturday and I didn’t realise that I missed my Saturday pill and took it 90mins later than usual. Is this going to affect anything? Will the contraceptive still work if I was 90mins late??

Comment on Ask Dr. Sally: Will Birth Control Get Rid of My Acne? by Choose Control https://pharmacistsclinic.org/2016/02/08/ask-dr-sally-will-birth-control-get-rid-of-my-acne/#comment-77 Wed, 13 Apr 2016 17:00:15 +0000 http://choosecontrol.wordpress.com/?p=875#comment-77 In reply to Anonymous.

Sounds like your acne has returned after the hormones left your system. Some birth control pills work really well to treat acne and there are other options too. You should talk to your primary care provider or dermatologist about what you are experiencing.
